Invoices, estimates, and expenses stay together in Money

Sep 12, 2026

Open and edit invoices, estimates, and expenses in Money, with the document or receipt beside the details. Assistant stays with your invoice or estimate draft. Reports now groups reports into folders and keeps your saved views within reach.

  • Open an invoice or estimate to see the full document, then return to your filtered list.
  • Edit invoices and estimates with a preview beside the fields, and keep Assistant with the draft.
  • Review an expense and its receipt together. On your phone, switch between Details and Receipt.
  • Open a customer’s recent estimates directly from their profile.
  • Browse reports by folder and reuse saved views.

See your bank balance on Home

Sep 6, 2026

Link your bank account and Home shows your balance. You can match transactions to your expenses.

  • Link your bank account to view transactions and match them to your expenses.
  • Home shows your bank balance when a bank is linked. Collections minus expenses is labeled as net for the period, not as cash.
  • What you still owe on Invoices matches the open amount on Home.

Faster checkout in Booth

Sep 4, 2026

Fast sale is quicker to tap, and Collect now lets a customer pay with a QR code or a card reader.

  • Fast sale buttons are larger on the phone.
  • Items you add in Booth save with your products and services.
  • After they pay, you can ask for a phone or email for the receipt.
  • A custom amount is available when card charges are on under Banking.

See what’s coming up on Home

Aug 18, 2026

On your phone, Home lists scheduled payments and repeating expenses so you can see what’s next.

  • Upcoming sits under Overview so you can see scheduled payments and repeating expenses without opening Calendar.
  • Search, Assistant, and Customize Home are in More, which keeps the Home header to your business, notifications, and account.
  • Create uses short names (Invoice, Expense, Customer, Estimate), and uploads go to Documents on phone and computer.
  • Reminders open from Calendar on the phone. Settings now lists Licenses & tax IDs for company licenses, insurance, and EIN.

Paid invoices no longer show as overdue

Aug 17, 2026

Once an invoice is paid, it shows as Paid. You can note whether they paid with cash, check, or a bank transfer.

  • Invoices you have already been paid for show as Paid instead of Overdue, and the total your customers still owe adds up correctly.
  • Invoice, estimate, customer, and expense screens sit below the status bar, and you can tap Done to leave them.
  • When you record a payment, choose cash, check, bank transfer, or other, pick the bank or account it went into, and add a check number when you need it.
  • On the phone, invoice More includes Print list; Download spreadsheet shares or saves a CSV.
  • Cash flow on Home keeps its description readable and puts Trend, Compare, and date range on their own row.

More ways to customize invoices and estimates

Aug 4, 2026

You can pick how invoices and estimates look, and set what new documents use by default.

  • Settings now includes Team, Import history, Time clock, and Document defaults—with a live preview of your next invoice and estimate numbers.
  • Choose separate default layouts for invoices and estimates, preview samples with your brand accent when tinting is on, and customize the thank-you line and footer on PDFs.
  • Turn payment reminder emails on or off and set how many days before or after due they send; texting stays listed as coming later so you can prepare without implying messages send today.
  • Viewers can browse these settings and the product catalog; only owners and admins can change branding, document defaults, reminders, texting, calendar sync, bank merchant rules, and products & services.

Schedule invoices and payment reminders

Jul 22, 2026

You can email invoices on a schedule and send payment reminders. Customers can open a page to see what they owe.

  • Turn on auto-send for a recurring schedule so each new invoice emails when it is created—or leave it off and review drafts first.
  • PlanBill can email due-soon and overdue payment reminders (on by default; turn off under Settings if you prefer).
  • Customers request a magic link at your portal page to see their open invoices and estimates. You can also copy or email that link from a customer profile.
  • Bank linking starts with a clear empty state, expenses suggest suppliers from your catalog, and reports show clearer recurring revenue plus saved views you can reuse.

Assistant asks what time you mean

Apr 26, 2026

If you say tomorrow or next week without a time, Assistant asks. You can save people you email often.

  • If you say tomorrow or next week without a time, the assistant asks what time you want instead of picking one for you.
  • Moving or changing an event updates the same calendar row instead of accidentally creating a second one.
  • You can still stack different kinds of items the same day; it only double-checks when something looks like a true duplicate or two appointments would overlap.
  • Under Settings, Contacts lets owners and admins save people you email often so the assistant treats those addresses as already known for your business.
  • Brand-new addresses still need an explicit confirmation step before anything is sent; after a first-time send, the assistant can offer to save that person only if you want it.

Voice Mode keeps listening after it answers

Apr 25, 2026

After Assistant finishes a reply, Voice Mode is ready for the next thing you say.

  • After the assistant finishes a voice turn, the banner moves through speaking and back to listening.
  • Voice Mode is less likely to stay stuck on “Assistant is working” once the reply is already on screen.
  • Your spoken line stays tied to the assistant message that follows it.

Ask Assistant to schedule work and email reports

Apr 9, 2026

You can ask Assistant to add calendar items or email reports. It can also use your saved products and services.

  • Under Settings, owners and admins can review wording tied to saved products and services and remove links that are wrong or outdated.
  • Ask the assistant to schedule business reminders or appointments on your PlanBill calendar; external calendars only show them if you subscribed to your PlanBill feed.
  • Owners and admins can ask the assistant to schedule emailed PDF reports on a cadence you choose, using the same delivery rules as the Reports page.

Assistant asks before remembering draft details

Apr 8, 2026

Assistant asks before remembering draft details.

  • If you were choosing how a line is billed, you can check a box to remember that billing unit for similar items later.
  • If you picked one customer from a shortlist, you get a clear yes or no before we tie your wording to that customer for future drafts.
  • Owners and admins can open Settings and review or clear those saved hints for your business whenever you want.

Branding defaults that stick

Apr 7, 2026

Invoice and estimate layout and PDF font save as you pick them.

  • Template and font choices in branding update your organization default right away—no separate save step for those picks.
  • The font list uses the same star pattern as templates so you can see which body typeface is your saved default.
  • New drafts respect the business default for teammates who are not billing admins, so what you set in branding matches what they see.

Simpler PDF branding

Apr 5, 2026

Invoice and estimate PDFs use each template’s built-in colors.

  • Branding settings focuses on logo, PDF font, and template—accent colors come from the template design.
  • Your saved brand color stays on file for experiences that still use it (like the time clock).

Edit catalog next to your invoice or estimate

Apr 2, 2026

Manage products and services from a draft without leaving the document.

  • Manage products and services slides in from the side while your line items stay visible.
  • You can still open the full Settings page from the panel if you prefer that layout.

Clearer words, a steadier catalog, and safer cleanup

Apr 1, 2026

Clearer words, a steadier catalog, and safer cleanup.

  • Menus, invites, and settings now use consistent business-friendly wording so you spend less time guessing what a label means.
  • Products and services centers on one catalog: review new suggestions, attach supplier details, preview industry starter lists, and save lines from invoices or estimates without losing what you already use.
  • Suggestion review stays on one screen with sorting that helps you triage what to activate, ignore, or categorize next.
  • Time clock cleanup walks owners and admins through imported or test entries so you only remove rows that are still safe to delete.
  • Documents, reports, and date pickers pick up the same visual rhythm as the rest of the app so dense pages are easier to scan.

Catalog, banking, and billing improvements

Mar 31, 2026

Catalog, bank suggestions, billing setup, and expense categories.

  • Products and services gives you one place to organize reusable lines, suggestions, and categories for invoices and estimates.
  • Billing settings make it easier to connect, resume, or reconnect payouts when something gets stuck.
  • Banking suggestions are clearer about why a category or vendor was suggested, with stronger review tools before you file a transaction.
  • Expense categories are grouped in a way that feels more natural for everyday business costs.

Business limits and a steadier sample business

Mar 30, 2026

Pro plan limits and a more reliable sample business.

  • Pro now makes it clearer how many real businesses are included and when you need to add more.
  • The sample business stays outside that count, so you can keep testing without using a paid slot.
  • Sample business reset is more reliable, including when your network connection is unstable.

Smoother everyday workflows across PlanBill

Mar 29, 2026

Editing, search, documents, and money workflows.

  • Show, hide, and reorder dashboard sections so your home screen matches how you actually work.
  • Search, notifications, and quick actions are easier to use from the keyboard and easier to follow when you are in a hurry.
  • Team, calendar, reminders, and recurring bills and invoices open in panels so you do not lose your place on the page underneath.
  • Customers, documents, invoices, estimates, and expenses have clearer paths to open and edit without duplicate screens getting in the way.
  • New work picks up smarter defaults from recent activity; invoicing and email stay easier to follow, and Assistant trims older inactive chats so the list stays manageable.

Clearer receipts and documents

Mar 28, 2026

Receipts and documents are easier to preview and review.

  • Preview receipts and PDFs more easily.
  • Hover a file name in Documents to peek at it.
  • The document review panel is shorter and easier to scan.
  • Documents has an optional Wall view when you want a visual browse.

Time tracking and dashboard polish

Mar 22, 2026

Clock-in for teams and a clearer money dashboard.

  • Teams can use PIN clock-in and managers see PIN and kiosk alerts.
  • Income, expenses, and follow-ups sit together on the dashboard.
  • Repeat imports pick up more of what you saved last time.
  • Scheduled reports tell you when they will send.

Calendar sync and cleaner imports
