Browse the policies that explain how PlanBill works, how data is handled, and what using the service means day to day.

1. Who operates PlanBill

PlanBill is operated by Ecle Coastal LLC d/b/a PlanBill. The website and service are offered at planbill.net. References to "we" or "us" on this page mean Ecle Coastal LLC d/b/a PlanBill in connection with PlanBill.

2. Availability

Transactional SMS is not generally available yet. We are completing toll-free registration and carrier verification, including with partners such as Twilio. Until we turn sending on for your organization, you should not rely on SMS delivery in PlanBill. The sections below describe how the product is designed to work once messaging is operational and you have met plan and consent requirements.

3. What we plan to use text messaging for

When SMS is enabled for your business and a customer has opted in, messages are intended to be limited to transactional notices tied to account activity, for example:

  • Invoices and invoice-related links
  • Estimates and estimate-related links
  • Payment links and payment confirmations
  • Due-date and past-due reminders, when your business turns on reminder automation and the customer allows reminder texts

We do not use this channel for promotional or marketing campaigns.

5. Message frequency and costs

Message frequency varies based on how often your business sends documents, payment activity, and reminder schedules when enabled. Message and data rates may apply according to the customer's wireless plan.

6. Opt out and help

Recipients can typically reply STOP to cancel further transactional SMS to that number. They can reply HELPfor a short help reply when supported by the messaging setup. Your business may also update the customer's preferences in PlanBill, for example by marking the customer opted out on their profile.

For account or product help unrelated to keywords, customers should contact your business directly. For questions about PlanBill itself, use the contact information at the end of our Privacy Policy.

7. Privacy and terms

How we handle personal data, including phone numbers, and how we work with messaging providers is described in our Privacy Policy. Use of the service, including messaging capabilities, is subject to our Terms of Service.
